The OPTOADVANCE SRL starts in Molise as an academic spin off with the collaboration of some important Italian research centres that have been working for years in the innovative technology fields, like the Electric Engineering and the IT Department at Naples University “degli studi Federico ll”. The Company is also waiting to receive acknowledgements from the Sannio University. The Company uses funds destined to a start up and spin off innovative projects. The project Optosound is approved by Region Molise.
OptoAdvance develops promising technologies by the use of optical fibres at reduced prices due to the constant technological evolutions including telecommunications which is based on optical fibres signals. The Company is looking to be able to realize new sensors which are able to reproduce the sound of musical instruments and also biosensors.
The increasing request for low cost merchandise has pushed OptoAdvance to invest in good structural products and services using technology in optical fibre. OptoAdvance can be used in different sectors of engineering, like aerospace, civil, industrial and environmental. We aim to reduce costs and increase security and we maintain good liaisons with the R&D, planning and engineering departments.
The OptAdvance objective is to promote this technology by integrating sensors-structures to the highest levels in order to implement the concept of “intelligent” structure, to be able to constantly “communicate”, to increase security and to optimize total maintenance of the system in the case of an adaptive system.
